Steve’s Mac and Cheese
My meaty variation on this classic. Feel free to use any kind of mince and any kind of cheese!
Fry off onion, oil, butter and mince until browned, deglaze with some stock.
Add to crock pot with rest of ingredients, stir thoroughly. Set pressure to high on rice setting and cook for 5 minutes.
Or simmer in pan until pasta is soft and cheese is melted through.
500g Mince (any kind)
1 Onion Diced
1 TBS Olive Oil
1 TBS Butter
1 TBS Garlic (Minced)
500ml Chicken or Vege Stock
¼ cup Milk
¼ cup Grated Parmesan
¼ cup Grated/chopped soft cheese (Mozzarella, Blue, Brie, Camembert etc)
½ cup any firm Grated Cheese (Cheddar, Maasdan, Gruyere etc)
*optional – ½ packet of powdered cheese sauce mix or 2 TBS cheese powder.
