Steve’s Lime and Cucamelon Jam

Cucamelon is a Mexican fruit, it's citrusy, tangy and cucumbery. This is a sweet and sour jam, ideally suited to sandwiches or cheeses.
Steve’s Lime and Cucamelon Jam


Combine all except sugar and pectin in blender and blend to marmalade consistency.

*Measure volume and add equal amount of sugar and the pectin, put into saucepan.

Boil for 2-3 minutes.

Bottle in sterile jars.


  • 1 Lime, (unpeeled, cut in chunks and seeded)

  • ¼ cup Lime Juice

  • 1/8 cup Apple Cider vinegar

  • 24 Cucamelons (or 1 ½ cups Cucumber)

  • Pinch of salt

  • ½ package powdered pectin (Jamsetta)

  • 1 ½ cups Sugar*
